Accessibility Statement

eDermatology, Inc. · Last reviewed: November 2026

eDermatology™ is committed to making edermatology.com and the eDermatology™ platform at app.edermatology.com usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology, and to meeting our obligations under the Americans with Disabilities Act and Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act.

Our standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities, and following them also makes our services easier for everyone to use.

What we do

Current status and known limitations

The platform and the website are partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA: most content conforms, and the following are known limitations that we are working on, in order:

  1. Video visits do not yet offer live captions. Captions with real-time translation are planned; until they are available, ask us for a sign-language or spoken-language interpreter when you schedule a video visit, or choose an asynchronous (photo and message) consultation.
  2. Spanish text in care summaries is produced by machine translation and reviewed for clinical sense but not professionally translated; ask for an interpreter if anything is unclear.
  3. Some clinical images (your own photographs and dermoscopic images) have no text alternative beyond their label, because their content is the clinical finding itself.
  4. Third-party content — the payment form, pharmacy directory and mapping content provided by our vendors — may not meet the same standard; we choose vendors with accessibility commitments and raise problems with them.

Compatibility

The Services are designed for current versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge and Firefox on macOS, Windows, iOS and Android, and with the screen readers named above. Passkey sign-in works with the accessibility features of each platform (for example Face ID, Touch ID or a security key).

Feedback and requests

If you have difficulty using any part of our services, find something that is not accessible, or need information in another format, please tell us; we will respond within two business days and work with you to provide what you need:

You may also file a grievance under our Section 1557 non-discrimination procedure through the same contacts, or a complaint with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Office for Civil Rights (www.hhs.gov/ocr/complaints).

Formal review

This statement is reviewed with every major release of the platform and at least once a year. Last review: November 2026.
